Fernanda Acosta Ballesteros

Fernanda is the Marketing and Communications Intern at Archaeology Scotland and a committee member at Scotland’s Community Heritage Conversations.

Fernanda brings over six years of experience volunteering, studying and working in diverse roles and organisations in the cultural heritage sector.

From the outset of her career, Fernanda has focused on engagement, community heritage, inclusion and diversity. She is passionate about connecting the sector and the public to inspire them to discover, care for, and enjoy their heritage, a mission she has been accomplishing through her work as a committee member of Scotland’s Community Heritage Conversations and training in engagement, events, marketing and communication roles at Archaeology Scotland.

Most recently, she has taken an interest in developing her Business and Marketing skills which she hopes to use to continue her pursuit to collaborate and contribute to building a strong heritage and built environment sectors.

Combining her passion, focus and experience, as a member of BEFS Board Fernanda looks forward to contributing to the conversations shaping the sector, furthering BEFS mission and vision, and gaining valuable knowledge and experience in governance.
