Project title: | Rediscovering the Antonine Wall |
This is a partnership project delivering community engagement activities, using the Antonine Wall as a catalyst for capital investment and regeneration. The project developed out of the World Heritage Site Management Plan for the Antonine Wall, and the desire of the six partners to create a joined-up initiative to achieve the Plan’s diverse objectives. The project aimed to create physical improvements in communities in the five local authorities along the Wall and foster skills development and capacity within those communities. As the Wall runs through some of the most deprived communities in Scotland, the aim was to reach out to those furthest down the SIMD.
