The project was an effective rebuilding of the once derelict historic buildings. The buildings and part of the graveyard are listed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and the building is also Category B listed. The buildings comprise the main Kirk and two external monuments, the Grant of Ardoch mausoleum and the Lady Ardoch Mausoleum.
As well as conserving the building, it now houses a unique collection of nationally significant gravestones rescued from nearby Cullicudden and Kirkmichael graveyards before erosion led to the surface relief being lost. All of these have been saved by the community for this and future generations.
