A wide range of organisations and individuals care for the historic environment across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Organisation: | Scottish Civic Trust |
Project title: | My Place Mentoring |
My Place Mentoring is a capacity building programme which helps marginal Scottish communities to develop their skills, knowledge and connections. The programme gives priority to groups who traditionally experience difficulties accessing support for their heritage projects due to their remote location or because they serve areas of economic disadvantage.
It is funded by Historic Environment Scotland, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the William Grant Foundation. The programme launched in January 2019 and runs until February 2022. Each group receives between 8 and 20 days of free mentoring support and 15-20 community groups will be supported each year.
